Bowling at Camberley..... friendly, fun, social & competitive !

Once the season gets into full swing there are bowls matches of one sort or another almost every day. We cater for both the competitive bowler and the occasional social bowler, something for all.

Friendly matches
At the heart of the club and throughout the season we play friendly matches of Rinks [4 players] and  Triples, at home and away, mostly against other local clubs. These take place both at weekends and on weekdays, mostly during the afternoon and some during the evening, enabling all to choose a suitable time to play. 

For many bowlers new to the game, these friendlies provide the first taste of competitive, but social  bowling, followed by tea or supper as appropriate. 

League games
For the 2010 Season, the Club has entered teams into the following Leagues:

    Men

        Aldershot & District League (Tuesday evening)

        West Surrey Mid-Week League (Friday evening)

        West Surrey League (Saturday afternoon)

    Ladies

         West Surrey Ladies League (Monday evening)

        Blackwater Valley Ladies League (Friday evening)

    Mixed

        Knaphill Triples League (Thursday afternoon) 

        Sapphire League (Saturday afternoon)

Competitions
A comprehensive range of club competitions allows for friendly rivalry between members of all bowling abilities.  All members are encouraged to take part for Club Honours and these competitions see the winners receive their trophies at the end of season presentation night.

        In addition, the Club enters teams into various national, Surrey and District competitions

        Members, if they so wish, also enter external competitions for National, County or District honours.
