Camberley Bowling Club – Season 2004

Open Singles Winner    -    David Tozer

Following a successful club season, playing Aldershot & District, County & National competitions
David finishes off the season in fine style winning Camberley's Open Singles Tournament.
With both Ladies and Men competing this is a 'go the distance' event and David had several
tight games to navigate before emerging champion beat Barrie Egmore-Frost in the final,
well done David.

Having already won the Mixed Pairs, David
clearly shows he can do it on his own as well.

Well BOWLED!!

Having joined Camberley from Hawley, David has become
a regular member of the Camberley Aldershot A Team and
plays the lead position with great authority. Other successes
this past season includes reaching the quarter finals of the
A & D in the Rinks competition as well as a good run in the
County pairs.

We look forward to David's endeavours next season and
.....meanwhile it's off to the indoor circuit at Camberley Indoor
Bowling Club for the winter season.

Open Pairs Winners   -  Ed Reilly & John McKinnon

One of the first of our competitions saw a glorious day [yes another one !!] herald the Club's Open Pairs Competition. Some 12 teams entered with the day organised and managed as only Brian Binding does!

The happy winners [pictured], having just finished their final match and undefeated throughout the day, well done to the Tartan Duo!

In the Final, against another Celtic pair and 2 shots behind playing the last end, Ed ran the jock into the ditch to level the match with just the Skips to play. An early good wood from John saw another shot added. The pressure was on and Chrissii Davies & Robert Palser had to settle for the runners up spot, as the dynamic duo were quickly off the green, seen heading for the bar. Well done the Jocks, winning this all Celtic fina!

With a buffet enjoyed by all and members enjoying the final in great sunshine and good spirit it was another superb bowling day. Thanks to all and again to Brian Binding for a thorough and professionally organised event.

Camberley …..the place to play bowls.
